Angela is in charge of PR here at Pattison Sand Company. The Pattison family has more than a 60-year history of contributing to their community and providing jobs and economic stability to the people of the region.

Today, Pattison Sand Company operates in Clayton, IA about 13 miles south of Prairie du Chien, WI on the banks of the Mississippi River. We employ upwards of 300 people. Pattison leads the charge towards American Energy Independence by producing industrial sand for the natural gas and oil industries. Pattison mines this sand from the St. Peter sandstone layer in both underground and surface mines.

Elkader Funds for Fields - Donation

The Elkader Little League accepts a check from Pattison Sand Company for $1000 towards the revitalization of the Elkader ballfields.    Funds for Fields was nominated as a donation recipient by Pattison Sand employees Rob Priem and Mike Orr through a program which allows employees to help decide how to distribute company donations.

The 5C - Clayton County Community Collaboration Council accepts a donation of $100 from Pattison Sand Company towards its substance abuse exhibit titled "Hidden in Plain Sight" designed to help adults see the signs that could be indicators of drug use or support of drug use in a teenager’s bedroom.  The funds will be used to purchase a trailer to make the exhibit mobile for county and out-of-county presentations.

Todd Eiffert Central Community Hospital's Director of EMS accepts a $250 check from Jody Cook of Pattison Sand. Jody nominated the EMS to receive a donation through an employee based donation distribution program implemented by Pattison Sand.  The funds will go to help with upgrades to the ambulance.

Mike Orr of Pattison Sand Company presents "The Freedom Stitchers",Garnavillo chapter of Quilts of Valor, with a check for $250. Quilts of Valor are made by hand for military veterans who have been touched by war. The quilts are a “thank you” for all the years of a veteran’s service and sacrifice to our country.

After honoring Veteran’s Day with an in-company raffle for a Henry Golden Boy Military Tribute Rifle, Pattison Sand Company decided to donate the monies raised to veteran-minded causes. The Moving Wall is a Vietnam memorial that travels around the country for citizens and veterans alike to view a half size replica of the Washington D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

A new study by Oren Cass, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, finds despite massive subsidies and state mandates, renewable energy sources remain a small part of America’s energy supply. Investment in the industry has been flat for almost five years domestically and globally. Even as GDP grew 7.3 percent since 2007, Cass notes, U.S. carbon dioxide emissions fell 9.7 percent from their 2007 peak of 6,001 megatons of carbon dioxide (MtCO2) to 5,417 MtCO2 in 2015.

Fire department receives donation

The Garnavillo Fire Department received a generous donation from Pattison Sand Company. The department accepted a check for $15,000 to aid in the construction of the new Emergency Services Building.
