Ellie Wynthein - Come Grow With Us

Hi, my name is Ellie Wynthein. My husband Kyle and I were both born and raised in NE Iowa and it’s where we always hoped to raise our family. Early in our married life, we both worked for a company that regularly took us far from home. We knew realistically this job situation couldn’t be a long term option. When my husband decided to come back and work on the family farm, the high cost of health insurance became a big concern. Good paying jobs with excellent benefits were scarce for people like me.

A TRIBUTE TO OUR DADS

It is easy for us to forget how much fathers have done for us. They get up early, work late, fix the car...and coach the little league team. They never expect a thank you for all they do for us. So, we created Father's Day to remind us to say thank you.

A TRIBUTE TO OUR MOMS

Everyone has a special place in their heart for Mom. We give them their own day to help us remember to say thank you for all they've done for us. Please allow everyone at Pattison Sand to send along our thanks and appreciation to Mothers everywhere.

In fact, we like Moms so much that we employ 25 of them. We know how much they do for their families every day and we appreciate how much they do for ours.

Pattison Sand Pie in the Face Fundraiser

Recent Pattison Sand Company Pie in the Face Fundraiser far surpassed all expectations to collect food, coats and funds for local charities.

It has been Pattison Sand Company's routine in past years to implement a fund raiser to benefit local charities serving the communities of Iowa and Wisconsin, where the majority of our employees reside. While researching on the Northeast Iowa Food Bank's website we found that for every dollar donated they could provide 4 meals. That really motivated us to raise funds as our main focus, while still encouraging donations of nonperishable food items and winter coats. In order to get the most participation we decided to change it up this year and make it a fun and interactive event. Past years have received great response from the Pattison employees and owner, but this year's response was exceptional.

Pattison Sand Company hosted a fundraiser to assist organizations that help local families in need by collecting funds, non-perishable food items and winter coats. Throughout the fundraiser donations of over $2,000 dollars, 142 winter coats, and nearly 250 lbs of food were collected! “As a vital part of our community, we at Pattison’s recognized the needs of local families, especially this time of year with cold temperatures upon us. We did a fun and interactive fundraiser which attracted the involvement of all employees to give to charities in our surrounding areas that assist those families,” said a spokesperson for Pattison’s.

Items and funds were equally split between Iowa and Wisconsin and given to the following local charities: Family Resource Center, Clayton County Food Shelf, and Shepherd of the Hills, all located in Clayton County, IA. Fayette County Food Shelf, located in Fayette County, IA. Coulee Cap and Operation Santa (Prairie Du Chien Jaycees), both located in Crawford County, WI.
